Introduction
Saved Eats (“we”, “us”) is a personal tool for saving your favourite food spots. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Saved Eats you agree to this policy.
Data We Collect
- Account identity. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name, and profile picture. We do not see or store your Google password.
- Your saved content. The places you save and the tags, ratings, and personal notes you add to them.
- Place information. Details about places (name, address, opening hours, photos) retrieved from Google and cached against the places you save.
How We Use Data
We use your data only to provide the service: to show your collection, let you tag, filter, rate, and randomly pick places, and to render the shared lists you choose to create. We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.
Third-Party Processors
We rely on a small number of providers to run the service:
- Supabase — database and authentication (stores your account and saved content).
- Google — sign-in (OAuth) and the Places API that supplies place details.
- Vercel — application hosting.
Cookies & Tracking
We use a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data Security & Retention
Access to your data is protected by row-level security so that only you can read or change your own collection. We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing us.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s Privacy
Saved Eats is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
International Transfer
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and Singapore. We take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
